A few months ago we sent some of our favorite tabletop items out to participate in a styled shoot with some great vendors. We loved their willingness to use our bold, black glass cake stands. They're some of our favorites and underused in our opinion. They looked great paired with our gold mirrored trays and pink glass dessert plates. Perfect for dessert bars! We’re excited to announce The Trove Rentals will be expanding in 2013! We’re adding more unique new and vintage goodies to our inventory weekly. Our latest finds are these beautiful wooden pieces. Choose from dinner plates, cake stands, dessert servers, and serving caddies. Keep checking back with us and we’ll make sure to share all of our new items with you in the upcoming months.

As the P&P team looks forward to 2013 we can’t wait to share our adventures with you along the way. We’ll be traveling to Costa Rica, Santa Barbra, Malibu, San Diego, Vermont, Martha’s Vineyard, New Hampshire, Maine, & of course there will be plenty of fun and beautiful projects happening right here in New York City! We have another sneak peek of a wedding at The Foundry that will go down as one of my all time favorites. Abby & Jon we’re so so fun to work with and we had a dream team of vendors alongside of us.

We designed three centerpieces with lots of texture, variation, and vintage goodness. All of the candles in the photos we’re rented from our prop shop, The Trove, along with the napkins and table numbers. The zinc seating cards we’re purchased from us and hand inscribed with calligraphy by Janelle Sing. We can’t wait to share more of the gorgeous couple soon!

Minna was one of those brides that reminds us how lucky we are to have the clients that we do. From the very beginning she really trusted us and let us run with our creativity. We sourced the aged, mercury glass perfume bottles to house the floral arrangements running the length of each table and we enlisted Janelle Sing to design all of the hand calligraphy elements. The great news is everything we used in her design from the table runners to the votive holders, cake stands, and drink dispensers are all a part of our prop shop, The Trove. These plates from Scully & Scully are one of my favorite gifts to give! We grew up with them as our salad plates and I love their cheeky humor and bright colors.

Being a Maine girl at heart, I am in love with these herringbone throws from Brahms Mount.  An added bonus, if you buy it from it from Archipelago, you’ll be supporting to The Island Institute which supports Maine artisans and Island based communities.

Sierra and I both love these champagne flutes from Roost which is why they are available in our shop.  I think they are a great gift; who wouldn’t want to raise a toast with this whimsical glassware?

As most of you already know at this point, Juliet and I have been searching high and low for the best vintage and antique rentals to add to our ever growing Trove prop shop. Why you ask? To be candid, we’re sick and tired of the same old same old rentals you find at the big rental houses and keep yearning for events with personality. We’re not suggesting you rent every last item from us, but imagine an event which is curated with part rental house inventory and part Trove vintage rentals for character. The best of both worlds, we think so.  This weekend we’ll be kicking off Trove rentals with a massively amazing wedding. Imagine vintage rugs, antique china and serving platters all paired with farmhouse tables and lush florals. Of course we’ll share more soon, but for now check out some new items just added to the prop shop and available for rental by you!
