With wedding season in full swing we’ve been busy bees in the past few months. From Blue Hill, The Foundry, to Maine we’ve been arranging some of the prettiest blooms we’ve ever put our hands on and helping to make our couple’s weddings go off without a hitch.

A couple weeks ago we packed Juliet’s 4Runner with as many buckets of flowers as we possibly could and headed North for Christy & Dave’s wedding. My mom was a total gem and let us take over her house to transform it into our flower studio for wedding prep. I have to say, we all agreed that the pace of life in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the easy conveniences of a small town made our days feel like a breeze. We of course couldn’t help ourselves and foraged as many little things we could get our grubby little hands on without being arrested. The yellow vine above was found in my mom’s backyard and when I asked her what it might be she replied, “Oh that, I was going to cut that weed down”. We proceeded to steal it all after we knew she wasn’t attached to it.

We dragged my husband along to the wedding and enjoyed the best, fun Maine evening at Migis Lodge despite the dreary weather.

Before heading out of town we had to stop by my old stomping grounds, The Old Ferry Landing, for a few cocktails and some fried seafood. If you’re planning a trip to the New England area this summer this is a must stop!
