Wedding glamping

Yesterday morning we hopped in Juliet’s 4Runner with Micahel Stuart NY and headed north to Dorset, VT. The main purpose of the trip was to check out the site, a gorgeous private home, for one of our couple’s weddings next year. An added bonus was the tasting that Michael Stuart NY cooked up for the couple and the groom’s mother. We we’re lucky enough to crash the party and wound up eating one of the best meals we’ve ever had prepared by Michael! The entire trip from start to finish left us feeling excited, inspired, and so fortunate to have such amazing clients! When we first arrived at the groom’s family’s home yesterday, we  took a tour around the property to check out their plans for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Let’s just say it’s one of the prettiest locations we’ve ever seen and it’s extra special since it’s hidden in the woods of Vermont! The wooded area in the photo above is a sneak peek of where the ceremony will be held. Add in wildflowers being planted this fall and we’re going to have a striking backdrop for the exchange of vows between two of the loveliest people we’ve ever met.

On the way back today it dawned on me that Shelter Co would be the most amazing addition to this Vermont wedding. (Shelter Co is a pop up lodging service which caters to groups looking for an outdoor experience) Since many of their guests will be camping on the grounds, this would provide a luxurious setting for those looking for more of a glamping experience rather than a true camping one.  I’d highly recommend this to any wedding party getting married in a similar setting.

Now all we have to do is wait anxiously for next August to role around, so we can head back up to VT.
