CB i hate perfume
Tucked away behind an unassuming facade, on Wythe street in Williamsburg, is CB I Hate Perfume. This amazing gallery of scents was just the thing Sierra and I were looking for as the antedote to impersonal holiday pressies. I’ve been a long time fan of there scent ‘At the beach 1966′ which they sell at the Copper Hewitt museum shop but had yet to venture to headquarters.
Boy am I glad we did! I found amazing things for all the people on my list (I got my pre-school teacher sister the ‘Crayon’ scent & my foodie friend the Black Pepper). I even made out with a few things for myself. Each of the scents, like the ‘Sunblock’ one I selfishly kept, seemed to unlock some long forgotten memory in a way a more traditional perfume just can’t.
I’d definitely recommend swinging by if you get a chance. Leave plenty of time because you’ll want to explore every nook, cranny, and smell in the place.
