It’s hard to believe that almost exactly a year ago my friends I packed up 6 suitcases that all weighed over 50 lbs and took off for Costa Rica, so I could get hitched. You may be thinking what could we have possibly dragged to Central America that would weight that much. In the next few posts we’ll show you all of the amazing goodies we brought to decorate the day. There is one thing for sure, I could never have done any of it without the help of a few very special people. Juliet and her sister Ellen we’re total rock stars. Ellen dragged our linens down and back for us which weighed over 50lbs themselves and that is no exaggeration. She also did my hair for me both nights, which turned out totally amazing. Juliet waded into the bush to find the perfect blooms and then spent days designing the centerpieces and my stunning bouquet. Not to mention the months of planning and decision making she went through with me. Matt and my close friend Brie worked tirelessly with them to help make the day beautiful, fun and stress free. From there every person who made the trek with us (there were 37 total) pitched in to make this wedding in the tropics the best one Costa Rica has probably ever seen. Jen Huang and her husband Elihu photographed and shot Super 8 film for us. I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves because they are unreal, over the top and more amazing than I could have ever dreamt. In fact there is a ban in our household on hanging any other wedding photos in fear that the entire house will be taken up by them. Today I wanted to share some of my favorite shots of the flowers and then we’ll get to the details. Especially the paper goods designed by Paperfinger; they’re a real treat!
